Digital
heart

Digital Heart is likewise an homage to all artists who believed in their work, no matter the obstacles, and how the heart of an artist remains the same, regardless of the era or the conflicts they face.

Digital Heart, an NFT collection.
Digital Heart is an NFT collection inspired by all digital artists: those of today, but above all, those who pioneered digital art with the emergence of the first software that enabled artistic creation. For many, the primary tool was a computer; for others, a mobile phone in its most modern form, as was my case.
It was in 2021 when I began discovering digital creation apps directly on my phone's Play Store. At that time, I had a mid-range Samsung Galaxy J7. Applications such as Mirror Lab, Chroma Lab, One Lab, Glitch Lab, MediBang, and Drawing Board, among others, took up a substantial part of my phone's storage.
For me, discovering those vibrant colors was a true revelation. Perhaps, in a way, they satisfied that perfectionist desire I had never managed to fulfill with the colors of my acrylic palette on canvas. Suddenly, colors were crisp and flawless, featuring striking gradients and, above all, the ability to appreciate details up close.
As a traditional artist, during my student years it was inevitable that my ego would swell to the point of always trying to conceal every trace of brushwork or pencil stroke in chiaroscuro.
Digital art entered my life as a way to fulfill that longing—perhaps academically questionable to some, yet fitting to others. Nonetheless, it allowed me to explore without guilt or judgment, using the basic tools within my reach during my beginnings. I chose to bring these works to light free from the prejudice that they had not been produced with high-end equipment.
One is more of an artist by creating with whatever is at hand than by sitting back and waiting for the perfect moment and the finest tools.
The setting does not matter. Being born with a talent for artistic creation is both a privilege and a luxury. Without the arts, life would be hollow and we would inhabit a world where only the utilitarian existed, building solely to satisfy the demands of functionality.
When we contemplate the shape that stone or clay will take, we also demonstrate our humanity, elevating our condition to the highest peaks life on this planet has ever witnessed.
This is one of the most beautiful, silent messages artists can impart to people as they continuously interact with all forms of creation in daily life. Unbeknownst to them, they can find beauty and solace, granting them the strength required to pursue their goals, face adversity, and prevail.
Digital Heart is a metaphor, expressed through NFTs, on the value of life and its boundless richness.
My earliest strokes, drawn with the tip of my finger on the screen without the aid of a stylus, were a revelation of novel effects unfolding before my eyes. For the first time, I was creating without staining my hands or clothes. My studio and storage space for my artwork measured no more than fifteen centimeters long by seven and a half centimeters wide, and I could always carry it in my pocket: it was my phone.
Digital Heart is a collection through which I reaffirm what defines an artist. Every collection from Axel Doyel Studio was created using basic means. Through them, I dare to put myself forward and carve out my place within digital art.
Believe, believe, and believe in your talent. Start, begin walking by taking that first step, because God will grant wings to those who have always flown with their imagination, forgetting they only had feet.
