How a flower
is born
How a flower is born is a small collection of just 26 tokens, in which the flower is the central symbol. It brings us closer to the origin and the process of life, offering both a critique and a reflection on what we have done so far and where it will lead us.

How a flower is born, NFT collection: how your dreams are born
How a flower is born is a limited and exclusive collection composed of 26 works, joining the diverse NFT collections and initiatives from Axel Doyel Studio. It invites us to imagine the birth of flowers from a different perspective, in contrast with the collection that precedes it, titled Flowers.
In a way, it is also linked to the black-and-white series of the Polymita Picta collection. Across both collections, I demonstrate my dedication to nature and its profound importance.
How a flower is born grants me the opportunity to express, with an economy of means, the origin of everything that possesses life and inner light.
It also allows me to reflect, as a human being and an artist of our time, that regardless of the technological advancements we have conquered to date, flowers and all other living beings emerged long before us.
Regardless of what we do, every consequence will have a direct impact on the survival of our species. Humankind will be the great absentee on planet Earth. Life will continue to exist in multiple forms; even if it does so only at the cellular level, it will still be life—yet a life of which we will no longer be a part.
I am drawn to the singularity of the title and the personal connection forged by speaking in the first person. What we wish to defend is not more valuable simply because it constitutes a collective whole.
We must learn to defend life starting from the individual unit: a gram, an ounce, or a kilogram. It is not more important just because it encompasses all flowers; a single flower is already essential, and just as precious as all the flowers across our fields and gardens.
Just as I explained earlier regarding the Seascapes collection, in my digital work I embrace the various effects, textures, and traces produced by how different areas of color take shape within the digital canvas.
I do not erase them, nor do I attempt to conceal them. They are the language of a new medium of expression that arrives to enrich my work, offering resources that open up an infinite universe of expressive possibilities.
Detail

Detail of one of the works from the NFT collection How a flower is born, where it is possible to appreciate the lines that, almost imperceptibly, create the different volumes and areas of the composition.
These lines recall the rings that form in tree trunks, allowing us to calculate their age. This detail reinforces the idea, the warning, and the lesson that we were the last inhabitants to arrive on Earth. It is beautiful to reflect on all the work that trillions of cells carried out over millions of years so that, one day, we would arrive and discover the secret of every particle to transform our lives.
